Three Fabulous Days with Pat Archibald

This week saw the return of Pat Archibald to Quilt Sandwich at The Royal Bridlington. As usual her classes were fully booked.

The first day was Leaves in Lutradur

After the first morning briefing and tea and homemade biscuits, the students set about having fun with paints and painting their lutradur.

Leaves shapes were then cut out and embellished. These were later then sewn on to the background , layered up with wadding and backing and quilted.

The project for Day Two was an Indian Dowry Bag. Pats briefing included tales from her journey to India which everyone really enjoyed.

Day Three and our final day with Pat this year, the project is Auspicious Symbols.

Todays techniques include applique, creating a stencil and using markel paintsticks, foiling, couching and quilting
