Customer Quilts & International Quilting Day

Although we have now had our ABM Innova Longarm quilting machine since October, we have only just started to offer the service to others.

We wanted to be totally confident before we worked on other peoples precious quilts and so we quilted over 50 charity tops first, to get a good feel for the procedure and to experience various different problems and challanges a longarm quilter faces.

This week I have quilted several customer tops.  One lady received her parcel from the carrier on Thursday and she rang absolutely thrilled to bits with her quilt - Phew!  She has also allowed me to share it with you.

The pattern she chose is called Triange Triangle and the full finishing service was requested.

My next customer brought in a bedrunner and requested Waskily Rabbit.  Its so cute.

here is the back

Next is a japanese style quilt

Pattern is - Calm Water

Again the full finishing service was requested for this quilt.

Here is a wholecloth quilt which was designed in the retreat with Lilian Hedley here at The Royal Bridlington. I have layered this up and basted on the longarm for this customer so its now ready for hand quilting.

What a great week, four very happy customers with four very different quilts, plus the company of lovely quilters who were here on a retreat with Lilian Hedley and then rounded off with International Quilting Day.

Today, to celebrate I worked on my own top and also made a You Tube Video.

The pattern is called Bubbles Everywhere and here is the quilt off the frame - just the binding to do now.
